Summer Is Almost Here in Laguna Beach: Art, Sunsets, and Community Spirit!
The signs of summer are everywhere in Laguna Beach, and the excitement is impossible to miss!
In just a few short weeks, three of Laguna Beach's most beloved traditions return for another incredible season. The legendary Sawdust Art Festival and Laguna Art-A-Fair both open on June 26, while the world-famous Pageant of the Masters begins July 9, bringing thousands of visitors and art lovers to town throughout the summer.
Beyond the festivals, Laguna Beach continues to make improvements that will enhance the experience for residents and visitors alike! The Forest Promenade revitalization project is progressing nicely, with new trees already planted and fresh concrete poured. The project is expected to be completed by the end of June, creating an even more welcoming gathering space for the busy summer season.
Beachgoers should also be aware of a relatively new city regulation that took effect following Labor Day. In many areas of Laguna's beaches, tents and pop-up canopies are no longer permitted to help maintain clear sightlines for lifeguards and improve public safety.
Of course, no discussion about summer in Laguna Beach would be complete without mentioning parking! Finding a spot during peak season can sometimes feel like an Olympic sport. Fortunately, the city's free trolley system remains one of the best kept secrets for visitors. Guests can park farther up Laguna Canyon and ride the trolley into town, avoiding much of the traffic and parking frustration while enjoying a scenic trip into the village.
As someone who is fortunate enough to live and work in this incredible community, I'm especially excited for the months ahead!! Summer in Laguna Beach isn't just about beautiful beaches and world-class art. It's about neighbors, visitors, local businesses, and the unique energy that makes this town unlike anywhere else.
Whether you're attending an art festival, catching a sunset along the coast, exploring downtown, or simply enjoying a trolley ride into town, there's something special about Laguna Beach in the summertime!
I know I'll be making the most of it, and I hope to see you around town
